Midthunder is a citizen of Fort Peck Assiniboine and Sioux Tribe. Her mother worked as a castor and she was a student at the Academy for Technology and the Classics in Santa Fe. She was educated in the Navajo Nation, in Shiprock. Amber is of Native American ancestry on her father's side. Both members are of the Fort Peck Sioux Tribe. Amber is birthed to an adoptive mother, and so Amber is not of recognized mixed ancestry. Prey features a largely Native American cast, including Dakota Beavers as Naru's brother and Jhane Meyers, who played Comanche and Blackfeet and provided ample advice for the production. Given the time during which the movie takes place, it wasn't an option to choose any dog. Coco is a charming and charming dog actor. She portrays Sarii.
